Specific suspension questions.
OK i have read the Service manual on how to adjust the preload and compression etc. now my question is this, how much of an adjust ment do i make? i mean like on the rear shock especially, its set up to factory standards, and im about 210lbs, so i wanna stiffen it up quite a bit, do i turn the screw for compression like a quarter turn? or half turn? or 2 turns? i have no idea how much to do to be close to where i need to be. also, what do you guys use to turn the metal collor on the shock to stiffen that up? on the front forks how much should i turn those/how many lines showing? for a 210lb guy, and the Ocassional passenger?

Don't use their recommended bike settings as your final setting, rather use it as a starting point.
I had a trackday mechanic set mine for me and I'm using that as the starting point and now fine tuning it. It's not a set it once and forget it thing.
Start with the basic settings, then you'll have to fine tune it for your height/weight, riding position, and riding style.

more questions, where on the shock does it show which number your on? i see numbers all the way around the shock, but im wondering where the "mark" is showing which number your on. also......compression/rebound etc adjustsments should these be made at like 1/8 turn intervals and then tested or like 1/2 turn or full turn, what im saying is, i dont know how much of a turn will make a change to the settings.

RE: Specific suspension questions.
I would start with 1/8 turns. A little makes a difference. It will probably take you a while to walk it in to where you like it. I don't think you are going to be able to make an adjustment, then ride around the block and accurately evaluate that setting.
Most importantely, I would set up the correct sag initially, then work from there.
You need a spanner wrench to adjust the rear preload.
Riding two up will change everything. I would adjust your bike for yourself, and just take the hit when you are riding with a passenger.
