sound from front end

sound from front end

When I brake hard enough to compress the forks i hear a clunk sound. I can hear just standing and pushing down on the front end. What's not right and how do I fix it?

It's probably your steering head bearings. Or it could be your forks.

How could I check out the bearings and the forks? And is it safe to ride on or do I need to get this fixed first?
