Default SLIGHT OVERHEATING PROBLEM HELP!!!!

i rode my bike to work this morning and it was about 68 70 out side and my bike ran fine untill i hit a stop light and the temp went from 185 to 200 and higher. it did this last weekend and it was real hot and humid outside.. it went to about 230 degeries. the fans kick on at about 227... but when i ride and get moveing the temp drops....im thinking it might be the thermostat or w/p. what do u think please help. i dont remember if it ran this hot last season or not... i would be very grateful fot your help.

completely normal..

If you are really worried about it, flush your coolant and run water wetter/distilled water

+1 sounds completely normal although my fan kicks in at about 225, waiting at a light i almost always start creeping towards that in the summer, highway driving i am using around the 170-180 mark

Same here, 170-180 at speed, 200+ sitting on hot pavement in 90F weather.

I think I hit 220 the other day. I wasnt even stopped long, and it kept going - would have gone higher but the light changed. I added Water Wetter before that ride, too.
