Default Short and stupid, HELP

I just bought a 2002 CBR600 F4i and am looking into getting it lowered. I dont have any experience with bikes so far,I just want to know whats the best way to go, if theres and BEST lowering link/kit. I saw this one on ebay that looks pretty promising has anyone heard of this one any reviews or anything?

my g/f has one called a dogbone. from what i can tell it has 3 settings and allows for the bike to be raised back up. try searching that up aswell.

How short are you? If you could keep it up with just your toes i would just suggest just keeping it that way so there is no handling compromise

I bought my '06 lowered and two weeks ago I took the lowering link out and reinstalled an OEM linkage (dogbone) that I bought on ebay. Here is a pic of the lowering link I took out. I believe its a Vortex link. Worked great. It lowers the rear of the bike 1 or 2".

Replacing / installing a link is not hard to do. You'll need a way to straighten the bike up (rear stand, jacks, strap from the ceiling). There are two bolts to take out. You'll need both a 14mm and 17mm socket / crescent wrench and a 3/8" allen wrench (don't remember 100% on the allen wrench size). Loosen the nuts off the bolts, have someone lift the rear slightly to take the pressure off the rear suspension, slide the bolts out and the linkage should slide / fall out. To reinstall the new linkage, reverse the process.

Takes about 15 minutes if you have the tools and someone to lift the rear of the bike.

My front end wasn't lowered, only the rear and now that my bike is back to stock, I don't notice a HUGE change in handling. The bike does dip into turns a bit more abruptly when lowered but not so much so that its a problem.

Good luck

I have a dog bone for sale, if interested. It's out of a 2005 with less than 2k on it.

I have a set of those in my garage in stainless steel, never used. I'd let them go for $20 shipped.
