Default Scorpio Alarm

I just bought a Scorpio Alarm for my '05 F4i and I was wondering if anyone has installed one on an '05.
I'm trying to remove the rear cowl (around the seat) and I can't get the 4 hex bolts that attach the grab bar off . **** they're on tight! Is there any trick? (I don't want to bust the damn things!)

Any help appreciated

Sometimes you have to tighten them a little to brake them free. Not to much, just a little to be able to lossen them. But like I said "sometimes".

i have the exact same bike as you--same alarm too. you don't need to remove the tail or the grab bar to mount this system, just take it and remove your tail fairing bolts to the subframe. and pry the tail away from the frame and slide the control unit along the subfram till its almost all the way back to the rear of it, then mount it vertically along the side of your subframe. thats where i put mine, worked like a charm--took me about 1/2 hour to install the whole thing. good luck

That's exactly what I want to do. This is why I hate taking apart my bikes. I'm usually taking off the wrong piece (which I then brake)!

The alarm is great and I highly recommend it.

Thanks for all the help
