a 520 won't give you anything noticeable around town...if you take that to the track then yes.
what most people do is go with 520 conversion with gear change and then say...WOW...520 is the schiznit...no dude...you're feeling the gear swap.

stick with stock and swap gears.

now...this may hurt some of you but i have to...from my experience, RK's aren't very good (ok actually i think they suck)...DID is the way to go.

I love my Rk 520 with -1 +2 with a teflon coated rear sprocket, and i purchased a Speedo Healer to calibrate my speedometer so now its dead nuts acurate, both took some time to research and install but it was all worth it. SpeedoHealer.com is where i got the speedo mod and SumOfAllParts.net is where i got my 520 conversion.

I have not had any issues with my RK or Vortex sprockets. Works great for me.

Expecting the kit to come in tomorrow. Do I need a rear stand for the install? I know it is cut to length but do I need any other specialty tools to put it on? Thanks.

Yah you will need a stand to take the rear wheel off. The kit should be already set to fit. You will need a chain breaker to take off the old chain, and a chain press to put the new one one. Ebay you can find them cheap.
