RK 520 conversion
Has anyone out there done the conversion? Is there anything I should be wary of? It is the quick accelleration kit.

RE: RK 520 conversion
I have an RK 520 chain, but have renthal sprockets -1, +1. Havent had problems except for going through chains faster.

RE: RK 520 conversion
I did it, 15/46 vs 16/46 stock. The only drawback is the speedometer is now inaccurate. Really really fast acceleration in 1st gear. Easy to do, took bout 30 minutes to change out.

How fast are you replacing chains?

RE: RK 520 conversion
It took me 3 minutes to break it and 10 minutes to relink the new one. Is that too slow? You can get your chain breaker and chain press on ebay, bout 10-15 each.

RE: RK 520 conversion
35 bucks!? That is dirt cheap. Why are the 520's so cheap!

RE: RK 520 conversion
They have less metal in them, cost is down. And alot of people don't realize the advantages to a 520 so they stay stock. Just my opinion.

RE: RK 520 conversion
If you want to switch to a 520 chain and stay as close as possible to stock gearing, what kind of front and rear sprockets should you get? -1/+2?
