Actually, I read the entire thread before posting, as I usually do. Your question was answered earlier and your explanation was sufficient.
What came as a result was an identification of something that could get you into a lot of trouble.
No, I don't gas and slam brakes at a light. However I don't clutch until the revs are low enough to require it. You can roll the gas off and the bike will slow more efficiently and in a controlled manner.
Only reason I brought it up is that if you fix the habit now it will save you much headache in the future.
To each his own.
