Default possible problem?

ok well i was ridin the other day and i nailed it and when i went from 1st to 2nd i guess i didnt put it in 2nd enough and it went back into neutral and hit the rev limiter. Welli rode for about 1 more minute after that cause i was just goin for a quick ride. When i got home i noticed some **** leakin by the kickstand side. I touched it and it wasnt oil, it was really thick like kind of tar like. I'm thinkin it has to do with the tranny since it fell back into neutral? It hasn't leaked since but I don't want to take any chances on ruining anything. What should I do?

If it's not motor oil, it's coolant, and coolant is green and watery. there is no other lubricationinside the engine. my guess is you rolled over something, or it's excessive chain lube fling. maybe just some old caked on oil from a change you had done.

the guy who i bought my bike from heavily over-lubed the chain and everytime i rode the bike for a while and the chain would heat up, i would have that same problem. it is chain wax. if you notice, it is thin and runny when heated (if it is on your kickstand, put a lighter next to it and see if it runs pretty quickly) and then becomes thick and tarry when cooled down. nothing to worry about but it is a hell of a mess. wouldnt stress over it...

that stuff you described is either coolant..if and only if it's 10-year old coolant...
otherwise, like the rest...it's excessive lube FTW!!!!!

Aren't there three overflow tubes on that run down just behind the kickstand...could it be something related to those overflow tubes? Mechanically, I am an ***, so forgive my ignorance if I am full of it.
