overheating?
engine ice > watter wetter IMO
But...
Will an engine running hot (225d) with the fan on, cause your battery to die on you?
Out riding last night with some slow-inner-city friends and I ran hot. Turned the bike off for 5mins, then it wouldn't start (had to push-start). One friend said it was the thermostat... This happened twice and both times the fan was running longer than I'd like.
I need help.

i use Engine Ice in mine..i have a 01 F4i with 27,xxx miles on it and in ATL now on highway it stays around 180 but when i get off highway and go to surface streets it heats up pretty quick. Thats why i wired the fan to an open/close switch and mounted the switch on the air intake cover clutch side so as soon as i get off highway i flip the fan on and it keeps the engine below 200 no problem.
i also have seen some guys ground out thermostat switch so when the bike is on the fan is on..i didnt like that cause when ur on the highway u dont need ur fan on so i went the other route and i love it..i think its a good mod to do..

Bonafide- you probably got a weak battery or regulator. i have had a weak battery and i just go for a nice long ride and she is good to go for a long time. i've had the same battery for over 5 years now and i've let it sit for long periods of time and it has died. but like i said, just go for a long ride and you should be good.
