Default Notchy at 3-4K

Was doing a little riding today and noticed when i was accelerating slowly or riding at a steady pace at 3-4K my bike was a little notchy or jerky...kept kind of going in and out of a steady speed....I looked at the speedo and the needle was bouncing slightly as well between 3-4K....Any ideas/ suggestions? could it be that I have a slip-on with no PC or something bigger???

I had an issue like that on my olf VFR and it turned out it was a bad chain that needed lots of oil. Had some sticking links and only really noticed it at a certain rpm range. A new chain fixed it. Just one possible thought. Check you chain for tightness and overall condition.

Just had that happen to me but my problem was low fuel. But it was jerky right at around 3-4K.

Check the chain slack, and tighten it if needed. If you have too much slack, the bike will feel jerky.
