Default not really a problem but?

i've heard many others complain of the very same thing. since brand new myclip-ons seem to point very slightly to the right when my bike is tracking perfectly straight. i was reading the service manual yesterday and saw something kind of intresting. it said when putting the front wheel back on to place the wheel between the axles, slide the axle in and tighten to 43 lbs-ft, then tighten the right (throttle side) axle pinch bolts to 16lbs-ft, then install both brake calipers and tighten, then grab the front brake and push down and up on the front suspension to seat the axle, then finally tighten the left side axle pinch bolts to spec.i wonder if loosening the left pinch bolts, checking the front axle and right pinch bolt torques, then bouncing the front end up and down with the brake applied could straighten out my clip-ons? could this possible work?[&:]

hey Tahoe, my bikes fine and rides and runs perfect. i thought that was a legitimate question, as others have complained about the same thing. i was just wondering if that procedure could help out. at least i'm not askin about fartcansand oil, bro.[8D]

only a couple degrees. last time i went to the stealer i sat on an f4i and a couple leftover 06 rr's and they were off too. just curious as to why the clip-ons are like that? maybe its normal.

bro, dont take this the wrong way, but if you tried other bikes and especially other brand new bikes and they are all off center.... then maybe just maybe you are crooked [sm=icon_beat.gif] and not the clipons?
