will any F4i tank fit on an 02 F4i? or does it have to be an 02

 

definitely any 01-03 tank will work, not sure about 04+ though since they have different subframes

 

people are always doing the dual tail conversion with the different subframe on there 04-06 so 04-06 tanks will definatly work

 

04 to 06 will work as well. I have a sub frame from an 03 on my 06 What happened to your tank, if you don't mind my asking? Hope everything is ok.

 

Oh yeah everything is ok, A friend of mine just bought a 02 F4i pretty much in shambles, He got it pretty much all together, got to the tank and it dosnt fit. I know its a F4i tank cuz its the same as mine. Its hard to explain but if i post some pics does anyone think they may be able to help us out. Im not sure if its just missing a certain bracket or a mounting piece or what. We are tank swappin this weekend but that seems like a waste of time since any F4i tank will fit any F4i frame. Ill try to get some pics up. Thanks

 

yes, i looked over the manuals and from f4 (99-00) and all the f4i should be fine.

cbrtokyoi sorta came across the same problem as you when i was replacing my tank. what happened with mine was i put the 2 botton bolts in first and i could get the top 2 bolts to even closely line up i was freaking out. then i put the top 2 bolts in first and the bottom 2 went in just fine

 

I thought the fuel pumpson the f4's were different from the f4i's, so the tanks dont work from an f4 on a f4i.Wrong or right?
