Default Gas tank question

I have to replace my gas tank. How hard is it to swich out the fuel pump. Is it just unplug and unbolt. Would I have to replace the gasket or can I use the same one. Anyone done this? I have a new tank coming.

thanks

it's not that hard, but I suggest replacing the gasket. If you install the old one and it leaks then you have to do it all over again.ake sure the gasket is seated properly.

Yea its pretty easy. you can look at your gasket and check condition. Like both above said a new gasket is a sure way to guarantee no leaks, but your old one will probably be fine. Judgement call on your part.
