Default is this normal?

i have a cbr 600 f4i 2002 got it 2 weeks ago
when i start my bike it takes about 5 to 10 tries to start the bike where it will run and warm up at around 3k rpm and drop normally
i also have the FI light always on, no matter what. it does not blink it just stays on when starting the bike and riding it, it will not go away. Everything else about the bike seems fine.
i would also like to know what is the recommended operating temperature after warming up the bike and get it ready for riding.

the FI light is not supposed to be on. it is your computer's way of telling you that something is not right. do you have a service manual? it sure would help. you need to locate the diagnostic connector, its a two wire connector that sticks out of the main harness under the seat, jump it with a paper clip and count the blinks of the light. that will give you a code that will help point you, and us, in the right direction.

^ what he said, and as for regular operating temperature it's about 180 +/- degrees. I usually just wait until my idle drops until I set off on a ride. So usually 110-120 degrees is what I let it warm up too before I ride it. But that all depends on the temperature outside. If it's 70+ degrees out I'll let it idle for maybe 15 seconds and then take off. I just keep the RPM's low until it's warmed up.

I usually let it warm up until the temp gauge says a number, instead of "--". Then I take off, keeping it easy until it's up to a more normal operating temp.

thanks for the responses, i got it fixed. took a few hours with all that cramped space. a rat chewed one of the wires off. had to resolder wires together, no more FI light yay!
