ok guys so while i was trying to figure out my stripped bolt issue i noticed that on my tack the arrow was just sitting at 2krpm is this normall bike hasnt been started in a while.. ? thanks

 

If the air is cold mine will sit at higher revs than normal for a few minutes after start up. Typically around 2000 for about 2 mins then
as it warms up it will gradually drop back to around 1300-1400 or so.

If the bike is warmed up and it still idles at 2000 rpm, it may need some idle speed adjustment.

 

no dude the bike is off the key is out its in gear just the arrow is sitting at 2krpm thats why im wondering if this is normall?

 

Doesnt sound right, haveyou dropped it or anything, or taken the tach off?

 

No, that's not normal. After my crash my tach was stuck at like 6k. Not sure why yours is stuck though. What happens when you start it?

 

i dunno i havent started it in a while i guess tomorow i will start her up. i did drop my bike a while back but never noticed the arrow !!! i dunno whats going on with her

 

Yeah, I dont know why it would be there without anything happening, so I think it might be from your drop and you not have noticed it, thats my only bet. You can take off the cover like you were going to change the color or face place or whatever and reset it to "0"

 

is it hard to take of te cover?? also wonderig if this could of came up because i started the bike up without really tightinig the terminals thats abut all i could thik of that i did
