Hey everyone!

Been working on this problem for about a month, still no fix. 2006 F4i with 20,000 miles, cranks but won't start. No smell of gas in exhaust. Just wanted some last minute opinions before I sell it on craigslist for parts.

Here's what I know...
Fuel pump is good
FPR is good
BAS is good
Neutral/sidestand switch no problem
Plugs are working properly

I've searched online but haven't found much info RE: injector problems or ecu problems, but I'm guessing it's something to do with one or both of those things. Anyone have any experience with non-firing injectors/computer issues?

Have you checked the FI fuse?

Do you have the key on power at the injector connector? They all work on the same power and ground individually through the ECU.

I trust that when you say the pump is good and the plugs are working properly that you've seen the coils fire and the pump primes and has pressure. Right?

 

Yes, I've tested for spark at all four coils, and yes I've heard the pump prime, and tested for pressure by checking at the FPR with the return line disconnected (I actually replaced the FPR just to be sure).

All fuses are good, but I haven't tested for power at each injector.

Have you tried twisting the throttle or cranking while a charger is hooked up to battery? I've had multible batt's that would crank for 20+seconds without slowing down but in reality they weren't cranking the bike fast enough to start. Something simple to try.

 

Plugs bro. I have a 06' that would crank for days but would not start. Even had spark at each plug. The plugs for these bikes are so sensitive that the slightest fouling wont let them start.. good luck!!
