So sorry to read about your misfortune, top bike and top guy. Hope everything gets mended quickly.

Thanks much

Slight update, I guess: I found a cheap old mirror that I had gotten with the bike and put it on for the time being. I'm waiting for it to loosen up on me while riding, because it took a ton of force just to keep it steady when I positioned it, and I didn't feel like bothering with Loctite. But it'll do until I buy a new set.

I also bent the brake pedal back as best as I could. Without a decent pipe to use, I had to settle for a large wrench. It made a couple divits in the softer aluminum, and peeled away some of the powdercoat so it's not exactly pretty. But it had already gotten scraped up in the fall, as well as some coating worn away by every day use. So not a huge deal, since it's still functional.

Since then I've just been riding around and dealing with a slightly uglier bike. Oh well!

I had the same thing happen tome a couple weeks ago. Your frame sliders saved you a lot of damage, trust me, i don't have sliders.

****ty thing for me was my left side was a little scrapped from the previous owner and the right side was mint. Well of course I dumped it on the right side so both are wrecked right now.

I just said **** it and ordered a repsol kit, it's in the mail right now.

Good Luck

thats why i always tone it down at night, no chance to pull something out of your butt at the last second if you some gravel

That was the annoying part about mine, tkrizzy - I was about as toned down as you can get riding a bike, haha. Oh well.

ndf4i, sorry to hear about your fall as well! I hope you enjoy the Repsol fairings. Make sure to budget a little to paint your tank to match!

Your slightly uglier bike is still better looking than 9/10 bikes here

That's funny, you're bike is the only one I've ever seen that looks even remotely like mine... (Fairings not fully on in the pics)

Looks like your levers held up fine too. What are they I'm gonna save up for some nice ones!

Pazzo shorties. The one on that side did get scuffed on the edge nicely, but it's no where near broken.

lleron, yes it does look quite similar. One of the downsides of going with the white theme, it is slightly common. That's where I pride myself in the rest of the details.
