Default Need Help - Engine Quits

Hi all, I am new here so bear with me:

I have a 2004 600f4i, and today while I was riding my engine quits on me. I looked down and noticed Red lights. According to the manual, it was: MIL - malfunction indicator lamp and PGM-FI malfunction indicator lamp.

Is there a way to "fix" this myself or do I need to take it to the shop? And how much do you think that it would cost to take it to the shop?

***luckily, I was able to start it again and rode it home.

Thank you,

the New Guy.

Kinda need more info like was it like it ran ou of fuel? of just shut off like you turned the switch off? my guess would be a sensor but that year of bike should be still under warranty. I have a 2002 F4I and my warranty is untill 2007

Thats only if you bought the 5 year warranty from Honda otherwise it's a 1 year.

as far as that i wouldnt read too much into it yet if it happens 1 more time though i'd take it in.
