Default My old *** 53 year old father.. Oil question

Just joking about the age I know it's an older Croud here.

But long story short did a fresh oil change topped it off at at let's say 4qt.. My dad who was unaware threw in like 3 more quarts on top of it.

so I started up everything's fine I went on like a 5 10 MIle ride and came back and went to check the oil again just to see what it looked like after it settled and realize what happened I mean it was pretty much flowing out of the the cap I had no engine lights no negative Champions the whole ride but should I be worried about any damage or anything.

It's alot my fault also.. We were both jabbering about Elon musk and trump and weren't paying attention to each other's requests and ****... Anyway thanks yall.

It wont do the bike any good having too much oil in there, but as it was such a short ride, hopefully it wont have done too much harm.

Obviously take some oil out so the level is correct and keep an eye on things for a while.

Thank you for the input.. Ill sure do it.

With my luck I probably cracked some in replaceable head or something due to crazy oil pressure.. Its an '02 does it have excessive pressure sensors of any type you think?

.but like you said hopefully nothing... Still runs like a scalded cat for now

If you had damaged it you'd more than likely know by now. Usually seals are the first thing to give when there is too much oil.

Dang old people!! (I'm 52 )

I'd think if something had gone wrong, you'd have noticed for sure! And yeah, 53 sux. Things are so much better at 54!

(note-to-self: After next week that you shall no longer be 49 but 49+, thus in your first 50s year, always DO double check the oil level after each oil change in ANY vehicle, before starting the engine)
