When I bought my bike I had 1040 miles on it andchanged to freshGN4. Then I wanted to try synthetic so I changed to a semi-synthetic at about 1500k. Now I hear you shouldn't change to syn until about 2500k. Did I mess my bike up by usingit too early?? It seems to run fine so far, even shifts like butter. Thanks guys

 

Nothing bad will happen even if you use full synthetic after the first service @ 600 mi. It's an old shop myth that wont die because the old farts keep spreading it from their day's of wisdom. the fact is, Engine production and oil technology has come a long, long whay since what they were working on was state of the art.

Speaking of oil questions, has anyone used both Motorex Syn. and Motul Syn, if so which one do you prefer?
