delkelvics holes r in diff places tho unless they changed it. email actumarts, theyll cut u a better deal and theyll give u a garuntee. it should be like 500 shipped, maybe less, and they garuntee itll work and fit right with no modding or u get a refund or replacement.

mine r on the way for my rr
I took a look at their stuff and Delkevics. I've heard good things about both of them. More seem to go with Delkevics, but I've not decided against Auctmarts yet.

I'll preface this by saying I do NOT like the street-fighter look, but why not take the fairings off, ride it as a street fighter for the next year or so, then sell it and buy a new one when your wife approves. Throw some sliders, or a stunt cage on it, and have some fun with it over the next year. Then you aren't spending time making cheap fairings fit, chasing cheap parts, etc.... to eventually have a bike that has been wrecked and has "high miles" by some shoppers' opinion. Don't forget that F4i's with that mileage are selling for 3k these days on average - in a year they will be even less.
In fact I had taken most of the fairings off, though I didn't post a pic of it. Problem was that the headlights mount to the front fairing instead of the frame. And I didn't care to do any mods to make it work without it.

I hate the street fighter look myself. At least for an F4i. You're right on the value. It's a tough call. It would definitely save me roughly $1000+ overall. If I repair it, I'm going to ride it at least through to the 2012 season though. See, now you've got me really thinking over this again. haha

Got some updates on the bike. It's not done yet, but it took a huge leap yesterday. Take a look at the progress so far:

This was actually a bit of a goof. I didn't intend for them to exclude the F4i here, but it's not that big of a deal

This is to show how deeply black it is.

That last pic only had the right side up. The tank still needs to be painted. So I'll wait to post anymore until that's done, along with the undertail. Give me some feedback

Looking good. Maybe I missed the post but where did you end up buying the fairings from?

Looking good. If I may make a suggestion though. Paint the air covers (and mirrors if they are not done already) gloss black to match the bike. That would tie in very nice together. Also I don't know what bolts you are going with, maybe OEM but the glass black ones from Bikebolts.com (I have a set of them and they work great) would look really sharp. I know you said you were going to do red rim tape and wings but have you thought about white? I think the white would pop really good on the bike and go with the CBR and 600 emblems you already have on there without being too over powering. Just my 2 cents.

R-Dub: That's where I got my bolts (Bikebolts.com). I got brand new duct covers that tie into the silver rather than the black. The bike has some silver on it that isn't as obvious in the pics I've posted so far. I'm still working on some small parts and I don't want to ruin the final outcome by posting early. haha. I'll post one more of it sitting outside before I added any trim work to it though. Got a new can too (Yoshi carbon RS3)

Kaz: Got them from Delk. They are holding up great so far (rode about 300 miles on them so far). I wish I had just gotten my OEM's repaired though. Turns out they were not in too bad of shape. Oh well, lesson learned.

Last pic until its all done (hopefully tomorrow)

Makes me even more excited for my Delk side fairings that are on the UPS truck to be delivered today... and more so for the paint she will soon be getting!

SO SORRY about the delayed response to the posts guys. I haven't logged on in a while. I've been pretty busy with school and work (I graduate this semester finally). I will post new pics of the finished bike this weekend. The rims turned out awesome. I also added the red Honda wings on the tank too. It's so tight.

Funny thing is, now I want to convert it to my track bike........lol. I am this >< close to getting an 09 cbr600RR

PS The photos from this week are going to be with a high resolution camera (for a change). I have a few pics from a few rides me and some guys have gone on in the past few weeks. I'll throw those up for now. (Weather has been AMAZING in Atlanta)
