Keep the bike and settle for a less expensive honeymoon. I suggest a road trip somewhere on the bike.

Seriously though, whatever you do I would keep the gear. You can get another used bike fairly cheap, but you'll probably be re-buying your gear new, and won't get much out of selling the current stuffanyway.

I think if you are that finacially constricted, then it is not the right time to get married. I know those are strong words, but lets be honest, your bike is no Aprilla. So on that, you are probably within $3000ish(not the true value of bike) from not making it finacially. On that, I think another year(seems like a lifetime) of saving would have you guys in a better situation. After a year you will be ok to have a good wedding and honeymoon +BIKE! Good luck postponing your wedding though! Good luck. Play the lotto!

keep the gear, it gives you more reason to get another bike. and only sell if thats what YOU want. only you can decide the likelyhood of you having money to get another.

If the bike is paid for, why not get a personal loan to finace the honeymoon? (assuming you can afford the payments). That way you can pay it off over the next couple years or whatever and keep the bike.

If you want the advice of someone who has been married almost 3 years (me), then sell the bike. I rememberthe honeymoon my wife and I hadand we were really broke at the time as well. Unless the trip is something that needs to be paid in advance you can also use money that you get from family and friends as a wedding gift. My wife and I drove to our location so this worked out for us but maybe you have other plans. If I remember correctly I think we pulled in about $800 cash....but will depend on the number of people you invite. Don't forget to have a dollar dance at the reception, that pulled in about $150-200 itself.

Also, don't listen to those that say once you sell it you'll never get another. I never even owned or rode a bike until after I was married. Once you have two incomes coming in after some time you may be able to afford something else. But if you are that strapped for cash then I say it's time to sell the bike, you'll also save money on insurance.

Also, like extra credit points, your to be wife will realize your sacrafice and will hopefully agree to let you get another bike in the future while also seeing how commited you are to the relationship now.

Best of luck........
