Tire Dilemma
I know there are atleast two other threads about tires but i need your guys' attentions, I have to get tires tomorrow and there is a discrepancy in the sizing.
Motorcycle Superstore is saying OEM size is
Front 110/80x17
Rear 130/80x17
One of the threads the guy ordered 70x17 front and rear
My bike i just bought has (dont laugh)
110/80x17
140/70x17
Seems to handle great, it is my first bike though. Are those tire sizes ok or should they be the same? im also short so would running both at 70x17 be my benefit? I am thinking im going to get a 150 rear though. Thanks everyone and sorry for reposting but i hope you understand the urgency, its my only vehicle/daily rider.

it is not really a descrepancy.
the oem numbers are correct. however, anything different to that is up to you. since the motorcycle has no rear height adjustment, i would recommend getting tires of the same sidewall height, ie. 110/70/17 and 140 or 150/70/17.
if your front and rear tire heights are different, say front 80 vs rear 70, then move the forks up in the triple clamps to get the bike back to a more neutral stance. when the front is higher, it causes the turning to be slightly slower or not want to turn as quickly. if you haven't noticed it, then maybe it is not much of a concern for you.
i would stick with like heights. i don't really like to lose front suspension travel.
that little bit of height difference may not be much of an issue to your inseam. you'll just have to tiptoe it or lay one foot flat on the ground. besides, most women are short in regards to sportbikes, so i wouldn't worry too much.
hope this helps.
