Default The Maintenance Blog

I thought I'd share a blog I update a few times a year on the maintenance of my 2006 F4i. I have found blogs/sites like this about what maintenance was done to a bike and how it held up over time helpful in the past, so I thought I'd put up my own for others.

You've put alot of miles on that bike quickly.

I commute on it...also did a 15 state trip on it this summer. Longest day was 890 miles...was a bit sore after that.

I'm surprised you had the headlight solder fail in the throttle housing. I've heard of that happening on the RR's but not the F4i before. Good to know.

Updated the blog. It was time to check the valves - for the first time some were out of spec.

Hey Frosty,

I'm just jealous to see all of those winter month entries in your Blog... I would give anything to have a reason to change the oil over the winter Pretty unnecessary here in New England, as the poor bike doesn't see the light of day for months and months. Almost ready now though!

Great record keeping! Thanks for the share.

I see in your signature that you were in Seattle, that's where I commute...there are usually only 2 weeks or so a year I have to take the car - torture! Ha!

The rain though...
