Maintenance
Watch out for 'moly' in the oils, enough of that will make your clutch slip. If you don't feel comfortable using non-honda oil, then just buy the honda HP4 without moly I think its semi synthetic. Panels don't have to come off to do oil changes. But I would look for some posts on the cleanest way to do it without removing the fairings. There are alot of clevers folks that post ideas that work on this forum.
Oil change, 15 min, drain plug, filter between the headers, done. NO plastic removal, no special techniques. Just put a wrench on the plug and the filter and remove and replace.
Use any oil that meets the specs listed in the manual. Have used "car oil" for last 3 changes and bike runs fine. No difference in performance, sound, starting, warm-up or anything. Engine is 6 years old, runs hard.

I agree man, do that **** yourself. Its really simple, and you might as well learn it now, before you start dumping hundreds of dollars into it. There are quite a few tutorials on it too.
But before I sold my bike, I let the dealer do the more difficult stuff, like valve clearence. Air filter change/clean is pretty easy to do too, again, just gotta get used to it.
