I haven't actually used them, I've just seen them as an option if you don't wanna shell out the $$$ for a paint job.

I know from the research I've done that they are just basically big stickers. Here's an article where I first heard of them from a mag. http://www.superstreetbike.com/featu...000/index.html

Look at the "View more photos" section to see the transformation.

So I guess the short answer to your bannana seat question is...YES...LOL

And Oh yeah, I forgot to mentionn that from what I've read it should take about three sheets to wrap the whole bike, but if it were me I'd get four sheets because I know I'd fock up and have to redo a couple pieces. Until I got the hang of it.

But hell you can't get a custom paint job done, to the extent of those wraps, for the 400 bucks those cost.

Well the paint job is fine on the bike..The dents and a few minor scratches on the back are the only problems. Seriously if there wasn't those dents on the bike I wouldve told him I'll buy it.

I'm just going to work him down on the price hopefully..

please dont buy the bike with the intention to sell it to make more money and rip someone off. unless youre gonna put some time and money into it to make it worth that. scrathes and dents are all fixable, and even for 2500 that sounds like a decent deal. after ive looked around it seems like even if an f4i is wrecked bad, if it runs its worth about 1500. just tell him you didnt know wbaout the dents and would like to fix them and you have 2200 cash and a truck to go get it right then.

Intention to rip people off? Don't know who you are buddy to go making accusations. I've been pretty honest my entire life. Anyone here can read this thread and read the descriptions that I have posted. Don't know how you get off saying I might be trying to rip someone off.

Anyway back on topic he said he MIGHT take 2,200 for the bike. I guess I can just buy another tank and throw it on(The silver tank seems to be really popular) and take the old off and bang the dents out and have it repainted, and then I can sell that tank. The tail i'm not too worried about because I want to do the split seat convesion anyways. Crappy part is there's too much snow out and I don't have a day off till next thursday to go look at the bike a little bit better. I can't test drive it either with all of this snow!

My buddy baught a YZF 600 once and it turned out the 6th gear fork was either bent or broken and the bike like 90% of the time wouldn't go into 6th gear, and if it did it would slip back out. He didn't know this because he didn't take it to 6th gear around the block. I won't make the same mistake haha.

This bike is turning out to be a great find though!

With the dents there is one thing i can tell you PDR (paintless dent repair) Those guys could probably have it done in 2 hours and it would cost your around 30 to 40 bucks per dent.
