Default Locking up the bike

Hey, just curious how everyone locks their bike up when they park it somewhere.

I've done it one time and that's it. It was a parking lot a few blocks away from the RCA Dome in Indy during a game. And it had no lights or an actual attendant onsite. But I've never done it anywhere else. Although it's been places where I've checked on it just to make sure. Depends on where you are.

I used to use a disc lock, which I knew was useless. Now I don't use anything. I'll let my insurance take care of it if my bike gets stolen.

Besides using a big *** cable (something too big for bolt cutters) and securing it to a fixed object, there isn't much you can do to stop anybody from jacking your bike if they want it.

I live in an apartment. What I do every night is use a good cable and loop it through the frame of the bike. Next, I Wrap the cable through the wheel of my car. This is the best fixed object lock job I could figure out.

i use a disc lock in the front and a cable looped through the back wheel and then a really thick cable through the frame and around the support of the covered parking in my apartment

+1 with the insurance. Theft won't keep your bike from getting stolen but a lock won't replace it when it's gone.Someone liberated my6RR from a Walmart.

Have you considered low jack. Prob 600-1000 dollars one time fee and if they dont recover the bike then you get the bikes worth and in somce case 2000-4000 getdollars depending on what plan you get.

Now that and insurance is a nice paid off bike when you are in the makret again.
