K&N filter
So I just went and ordered one of these suckers from the local bike shop. I didn't even think about installing it before I purchased it. How hard are these things to install? I'm guessing the tank has to come off. Any advice from guys who have done it themselves?
Thanks,
Eric

ok...i just did this 2 days ago on my 06 f4i...so
1-you'll gonna need to take the front 2bolts that hold your tank
2-you'll going to need to take the seat off inon order to get to the other 2 tank bolts
3-take those 2 bolts off
4-lift your tank but carefully, because you have to disconect the IAT sensor that is on top of the air filter cover
5-once you disconect that, you will going to improvise in order to keep your tank opened: so you can either strap it from the front, lift it up and put the straps somewhere in the back of the bike, or put a can or something undernith your tank to hold it.
6-unscrew the bolts that hold the air cover, including the one in the middle.
7-remove your old air filter and install the new one(on the filter says wich side goes up)
8- do the reverse of what you did and your good to go
