Just put in my Blue Gauges..

RE: Just put in my Blue Gauges..
Yeah, those reverse' look nice.
I just took apart my extra set of F4i gauges- there are about 10-12 flat 3-5mm LED's that are soldered to the circuit board with 2 simple solder points for each one. They shine upwards into plastic "light tunnels" that disperse the light throughout the gauge.
Changing them out for another color is very simple but I've found that trying to find a company selling replacement's.....impossible.
I tried Radio Shack and TigerDirect and places just don't carry circuit board LED's like these.
Ebay has some sellers from Hong Kong selling 50 pieces for $20 and U.S. online sellers want $1 with a 250 piece order minimum.
For giggles maybe I'll just order from Hong Kong and see how it goes.

$145 for $5 worth of LED's?!?!?! /cry They look so hot but I can't see spending $145 for that. I could see maybe $50 but otherwise I'd feel like I'm wasting my money. Now on the other hand if I was rich I'd have them yesterday! =D Looks nice man

If you look on the provided link, you can get colored LED's for 40 bucks and up. The 145 was changing the faceplate as well, which I'm sure is a delicate proceedure. I know when I work on people's vehicles, I feel my time is worth something, and not just something to cover my epxenses, don't do it for the love either since, most people can be a pain. Yeah, thats right, I do it for the money
