Default Blue Fox!

Hey guys i'm a new member, and looking forward to meeting everyone and their bikes. Not to single you out, but i've seen a few pics of your bike Blue Fox and I love the LEDs on the headlights. I'm sure you've answered this question a million times already but I couldn't find it in the threads. Anyways, did you make the mod yourself, or is that a light kit you bought? Or is it a secret so you can have the only CBR with it! Either way let me know I if you could I would like to do something like that with my bike.

Flattered........truly I am. Haven't had anyone call me out and actually have something nice to say afterwards.

I didn't buy a light "kit"......It's a specially-made LED light board with 180-degree (any angle) high-wattage LED's. They're mounted in the headlamp lens with high-quality 3M Automotive Trim Tape and sprayed flat-black to blend in better in the housing. I will say that I damn near broke my $200 a piece headlamp assemblies trying to pry them apart to get into them to do the modification and it took FOREVER to get it right.

By the way............you could have just PM'ed me.

Here's the thread where I "revealed" my modification...........

Got to be honest, so far you have one of the best looking bikes i've seen on here so far. Very clean, not over done, and I really like the attention to detail. I'm looking forward to making some mods and changes to mine whenever I get the time and money!

Just take your time and put a lot of thought into it. I personally like to keep things simple, clean, tasteful and not overdone. I don't want any one modification to "stand out" on the bike........but rather have all the modifications compliment the bike as a whole so you can't immediately tell what was changed or installed. That's another reason why I don't like stickers too much. Small, tasteful decals yes.......but not random stickers.

But, each to his own.

Not a fan of any decals personally, but it all comes down to personal preference. I have a few ideas of some small things I would like to do, but it will be awhile before I have time to tinker with it. I will make sure to put some pictures up when I ever get around to make the changes.

so for those LED's did you buy them ready to install like that? or did you buy the circuit boards & led's and solder them yourself? i was looking on superbrightleds.com and couldn't find an led bar like that

I bought the LED light board and requested a specific color LED was soldered on for an extra fee. I then painted the boards flat black and cut them to size.
