Just bought a F4i, got a few questions
Hello everyone
I just upgraded my F3 to a F4i and im very happy about it so far.
However, i have a few things that im unsure of what to do.
First, i had a hard time adjusting the idle speed on the bike but eventually i found out that you have to press the idle cable end inwards and then turn it. Now i could increase the iddlespeed above the 1300 rpm but when i turned the cable in reverse i could only get it back down to about 1300 rpm and never lower.
Therefore my question is: Is it working as intended and can only be adjusted lower with a conmputer? I got a power commander usb 3 on it
Next question is about the exhaust fixing bracket/carbon band. It looks like it has been on another bike or fixed differently at some point because there are marks around the carbon band.
This is a akrapovic titanium exhaust so im not sure if it is possible to polish it away. Any ideas?
The bike is from 2001 and has run 26000km and it looks brand new. The only dent in the joy is the marks on the exhaust so if i can solve that it would be awsome
Thanks in advance

As far as your idle goes, that is around normal. Be careful with your idle adjuster though because all it does on these bikes is adjust the air to fuel ratio so if you are trying to go too high or too low that computer will probably override your input. As far as the band goes, that does look like an aftermarket band so I'm sure those are the marks of the old band. Your only option is to attempt to try to polish it. For 16k miles, that bike looks so minty, congrats on the purchase.

You should be able to clean that up. Maybe not entirely, but enough to make it much better looking and less noticeable. Start with something besides a polish, because some polishes will react differently to different metals. Go with a good degreaser first. Then if you need, move on to a metal polish.
