I went through one custom turbo setup that I built w/ the rotary, then I trashed the whole setup and stuffed a built SB 350 in it
are rotary's fast compared to v8s like the 327's and 350's?
yea, they are fast when you put money into them, there is no real way to make power with them w/o tearing down the motor and porting and doing forced induction. built rotary, like a bike can turn over 12-14,000 rpms. You can have a reliable streetable built rotary and put out 4-500 h, people who build them can get anywhere from 700-1,000hp out of a 1.3liter engine. this should give you an idea, this guys cars run 1/4's in 7.3's at over 180mph and still retains original shell/shape, just a wheelie bar and a parachute
