Im all for mods whether lighting or not but when it comes down to putting peoples lives potentially at danger, I dont agree with it. To each their own is correct, I wont be blinded by him tho so he can do whatever he wants. HID looks sick on a bike though.

If he only drives during the day then its not a big deal either way though. Good luck either way and let us know if you have any problems with your ddmtuning kit. They have been good to me so far.
I have them in both of my cars, and my bike

I understand about blinding people, but I don't think it's going to cause anyone to veer into you and hit you because of them focusing on your lights... I think it does help be noticed on a bike.

But I do respect your opinion and understand because I hate the bastards that blind me with their bright *** lights (but hold a double standard seeing as how I do it to everyone else LMAO). I just never would bake my lights myself, because I know for sure I'd **** it up. Interested to see your write-up

You can always aim the beam a little bit down. Don't forget about that.

I'm sorry for jumping in with my question, but I have an idea about getting rid of the stock housing and reflectors by putting in two projectors off a car. I have two slim ballasts 35W each, but the bulbs I'd need for projectors are D2r\s. Do you think I have to change the ballasts too, or I can use the same ones? Bought them from DDM.

I'm pretty sure the ballasts are the same

I was thinking about buying a set of HID's from Ebay the other night. But I read somewhere that the ones for vehicles might have issues with how much power they pull in motorcycles. Anyone had a problem with that?

What temp are the ones the OP posted? I was thinking of going 6k's but don't want a whole lot of blue in the lights so 5k might be better. Also would it be better to get 35w or 55w, Slim ballast or regular ones?

oh the questions

manyt people here have purchased the ones from ddm Tuning the 35W h7 6k. many agree that 55w burns too hot for a small motorcycle headlight houseing9dont want to melt ****) and 6k isnt that blue. and they are made for motorcycles slim ballast and all.
also no extra relay wiring needed becuase the amp draw is same as stock.. i just ordered these yesterday. one for low beam. keeping reagular xenon for hibeam so no delay if i need to flash and i like the straight arrow like beam pattern for hibeam. im interested in the spread out patteren for lo beam hid. hope this helps

I've got exactly the same as andy. Works nicely, no problems. Get yourself 35W 6k. And, of course only SLIM! Although I have HIDs for both high and low beams, but I would agree with keeping reg xenon bulb for high beam.

I third what Andy said.

It is a double standard. My cars bright lights are stuck on high, electrical issue, and the car is from 91, so I'm not even bothering to look for a replacement part. The lights aren't bright enough to where they bother everyone, and I get flashed more, with dimmer lights, on my car, than on my bike.

Just be sure to get quality projectors for your HIDs...quality projectors will make the difference. I made the mistake of buying aftemarket headlights with projectors to put HIDs in and my stock fog lights ended up being brighter than my HIDs. Just because you have projectors, doesn't mean that's the end of your problems haha. I couldn't believe how much brighter my standard halogen bulbs in the OEM reflector housings were than my projector/6k HID setup. Any automotive OEM projectors should do the trick, be careful with aftermarket ones unless proven otherwise. Quite embarassing and a waste of money

i have hids installed without the housing. honestly, the way i see it, i want to be as bright as possible. id rather have elephants see me, than not.

cars cutting me off since i installed my hids have gone down drastically.

i went with ddm tuning as well. i recommend them to everyone
