Exclamation Does Paint Need To Be Removed For Powder Coat?

Does Paint Need To Be Removed For Powder Coat? Or does it just need to be scuffed up? (like you do to make something hold paint?)

Yes, you need bare metal.

Things are usually sand blasted before they are coated.

yep ,sand blasted and smoothed out to the bare metal, some guys will smooth out the rough texture of the wheel to get it completely smooth for a better finish

wheel is dipped in a bath of paint remover then sandblasted before treatment.makes a lovely job.
