Default installed jet kit

if your bike has been sitting all winter, you cant ride, and you cant keep your hands off it, give it some love, pull the carbs for a cleaning. after reading some posts by TimBuckTwo, i ordered a kit from CarbJetKits.com for moderate modified set up, ie K&N and after market exhaust (Two Bros Slip ON). mains +3, pilot +1, shims +2, idle mixture screws + 1/2 turn= 2 1/2. those intake boots are a bi..tch to line up. it was 3deg outside so i didnt go for a test ride, but she screams and run great sitting still. the jet kit seems perfect. no runability issues at all in the garage.
i took many pix of the tubing routing, etc, so if anyone needs help putting urs back together, private me.

WOW! That looks like a super clean '94.

A little after the fact, I remove my carbs with tank lifted (still on) and by removing the bolts on the side of the air box. I slide the air box back to make room to remove the carbs. Your way makes for less four letter words.

I can't believe how clean your bike is. That's a bike to be proud of.

obviously this isnt a step by step how to, but i took many pix before removing everything so i had a reference, but i didnt post them, and im glad i did cause when i removed the choke bracket, a round spring popped out and i had no idea how it was installed till i ck'd my pix and there it was. i wouldnt have been able to figure that one out, haha, and im sure im not the only one. even all the vent/fuel tubes seemed like it wouldnt be an issue when reinstalling, but was i wrong. im happy i dont have a California Emission bike, that would suck.
Chris, the fuel tank is easy to remove but somewhat dangerous when moving it around and trying not to scratch it. id say my bike looks almost brand new. i waited patiently for years to find this 94 and got lucky . the bike had 5k miles on it, now has 14k. as we talked before it was you that helped me decide to install the jet kit. now i im thinking since everything works great, that i went with the 135/45 1 shim for speed greed, but i really wanted the 2 shims for mid throttle, cause thats where i like to open her up and ride the most. how did you do putting it back together? i couldnt get those rubber intake boots to line up. id get 1 side in and the other side would pop out, then when i got them on the engine side, i barely got the air box to line up. i had those off/on 3x's before i got it right. what a pain, but ill do it again just for the challenge. i know f...ck came out of my mouth several times in that process, i cant imagine having tha tank in the way. ur boots must have been easier to line up. and yes, i used a hair dryer to heat them and oil to help slide em in.
