Default idleing

hello all........when i bought my bike (01 cbr 600 f4i) the inspector told me that i need my FI serviced...now im wondering if i could do any of this myself or would this problem be fixed with a FI cleaner that i could buy at a car shop...also i changed the idle manually down to about 1500-1750rpm...so i started riding for about 10-15mins and it went back to about 2000-2500rpm... so any help would be nice

u wanna let ur bike warm up before riding, but i dont think the temp shows till like 100 so if u do ride it before it warms up to that definatly dont just jump on and take off at open throttle

F4i idles around 1300... you are way high. What kind of "inspector" couldn't pick up on that?

Explain what the "inspector" thought was the problem requiring a FI servicing.

Before doing anything though, I'd start the bike, when it's up to operating temperature adjust the idle to ~1250-1300 rpm. If the bike rides fine from there then you're done.
