Default Idle and Speed

Okay so I have a 2002 CBR 600 F4I. The Idle screw thing is not doing anything, any ideas on that? Also I have a down 1 on the front sprocket and up 2 on the back. Is that changing the speed it says? Because it feels like I'm going slow and a lot of people pass me. Any thoughts?

On the idle screw, are you sure you're turning it enough? It turns a little before it actually turns enough to change the idle. Hope that makes sense.

The gearing, you have geared it lower so yes your speedo will be off. Here is a little tool that can help you figure out your speeds, Gearing Commander. With stock gearing (16/46) in 6th gear at 5,000 RPM you should be doing 60 MPH. With your gearing you would be doing 53.9. So go out get in 6th gear and run up to 5,000 RPMs and see if your speedo reads 53 or 54 MPH.

Okay I got the idle fixed but now when I'm 6th gear at 5000 rpms it says I'm doing 60... But am I really doing 53?

Glad to hear you got the idle problem solved. Was you just not turning it enough?

Yes, if that website/tool is correct, then you are running right at 54 MPH in 6th gear at 5,000 RPMs with the sprockets you have. I forgot to ask. Are you running the factory size rear tire of 180/55/17? If not then you will need to re-calculate.

I found that site by recommendations from others on here, have used it and it seems to work out correctly, so I feel that it works correctly and gives correct info.
