Default Hiss light

I have a 2006 cbr600f. At the moment it's stripped with all body panels removed, front forks out , tank off and air box etc,
It's do a major service, fork seals, brake seals, new radiator etc
It also only had one key so ordered new key with transponder, I have made the link cable up to connect to crank sensor to pair key.
When I went to start the procedure I noticed the red hiss light did not come on, I removed cable etc and replugged crank sensor in, still no light. This bike is new to me, never ridden it yet. It was a runner but cannot say the light worked.
Any ideas what to look for and test would be much appreciated

Welcome to the forum, that is going to be a tricky one as not much is available about how the HISS system works
Does it work with the original key? Not sure from above if you swapped out keys.
Did you have it running or just told it had been?
There are a couple of UK bases vendors that will pair new keys. but you have to send ECU and key to them.
I would give these guys a ring to see if they can advise:

Hi, thanks for the reply.Well i bought it delivered to my house but yes it was a perfect runner.I just wanted a second key but to do that yu have to get to the crank position sensor plug for the pairing cable. Well that involves removing the fairing lowers which when I did revealed a heavily corroded radiator, frayed clutch cable and a few other things so I decided to do everything over the winter months, so that's how bike got stripped down so much. Ordered a key which came, perfect, made my data cable up which is simple and proceeded to try to pair but realised no hiss light, was not sure if it worked when I got the bike, asked previous owner and he said it did. So done a bit of fault finding, opened all visible multiplug and ecu plugs, cleaned with brake cleaner, found a corroded connector in a plug which snapped when taking plug apart so repaired that, still no joy, thought about the bank angle sensor so put nose cone on, still no go. Multimeter in went thru all connections I could trace to do with hiss and ckp, opened all multi plugs again, blew out with compressed and bingo...... Working hiss, paired second key 😁😁. So I do not know 100% what I did that cured the problem

That is fantastic news, well done.
If there is one weakness with these bikes ( well 3 really) two being R/R's and Cam chain tensioners, it is the fact that Mr Honda in his wisdom did not put waterproof connectors on them. A large portion of electrical faults can be traced back to corrosion on the plugs!
