Wiring issue
Hello, I'm looking at buying a family members 2001 Honda 600 CBR F4I but it has a pretty big wiring problem. I'm not sure what the wiring harness is called and what it is connected too, but it's right next to the steering on the left side. tucked up right next to the funnel for the air box. It will cut the whole power to the bike if it gets touched or moves. Sometimes you have to adjust it just to get the fuel pump running and the headlights on. Not sure what the cause is, just looking to see if anyone has a solution or can tell me the problem. I also think it might be that green wire in the picutre maybe just loose connection the to whole harness but I'm no electrician.

Two main possibilities, either a faulty connector or, more likely, a broken wire in the harness.
Take a multimeter on the 20 ohms scale and, with the ignition switched off, connect it to each end of each wire in the harness in turn. Whilst it's connected, move the harness to see which wire goes open circuit. You can then replace that wire from connector to connector and job should be a goodun.
