Default Help with f4i no start

Hi all-

Having troubles with my 02 F4i, hoping someone here could give me some advice. Back story is that the bike sat for more than a year; when I tried to start it, it sputtered and died. Then it wouldn't even sputter - just crank to no effect.

The plugs look OK and it has spark, so I tried doing fuel diagnosis. In the process of doing the fuel flow test detailed in the service manual (jumping the fuel cut-off relay) I must have damaged something, as now the fuel pump will run manually but won't prime. So my question is - what could be keeping the pump from priming when you turn on the kill switch?

Is the headlight hooked up and mounted? If not, thats your problem. The BAS needs to be hooked up and sitting level in order for the pump to prime. You can bypass it by hooking a jumper wire to the two outer wires on the connector. (red and green I think)
