Default Heat Shield

What kind of heat shield do you all use on your bikes that you had to get aftermarket fairing for? I went around today to O riley and Autozone and they had nothing. O Riley had a Heat shield wrap type stuff that you can wrap things in, but nothing with adhesive. Any ideas would be great. And where all do you put the heat shield? Thanks.

You can start with this...

http://www.heatshieldproducts.com/products.php

or check out products by companies like thermo-tec or do your own google search for adhesive heat shields and find what suits your needs/price the best. Im still rockin oem fairings so I havent had to do it myself but id imagine the bottom by the exhaust and headers will need to be covered and possibly the sides where its close to the engine and cylinders buuuut id ask someone whos done it or knows first just to be sure.

So basically just the left and right side panel fairings? And I did find this which seemed pretty cheap. What do you think?

It says its good for exhaust/turbos so yeah id imagine that should work just fine. Yeah pretty much but i think the fairings will be exposed to the most heat on the bottom where theyre close to the headers and midpipe so dont forget that either.

Mav I just mentioned this in a different thread. Have you ever considered getting it ceramic coated, Jett-Hot has a great product. Looks real good too.

I've never heard of ceramic coating, do you have a link to it?
