Default Fuel tank flange issue

Purchased a new tank that was free of dents and nice paint, and I noticed the flange that the pump sits on inside the six studs has a small downward bow to it. I assume it will leak, even with a fresh gasket which is on order. What are my options? Try and bend it back? Extra grey RTV along with the gasket? How sensitive is the sealing surface there? All 6 studs are intact and will hold nicely. Just see horror stories of leaking tanks at this location. Thanks!

I should say new to me. Obviously a used tank but wondered how I can make it leak proof. Anyone have any experience with sealing issues and/or a bent flange?

See attached. PO slathered it with RTV so it was clearly an issue. Lip is low and smoothed out.

I would try and bring it up flush/flat. It might even be worth taking to a body shop who wouls hav ethe right hammer/dollies to do it.

Agree 100%. That shouldn't take a skilled body person only a few minutes.
