Default Gas tank leak

Hey, is there a special gasket sealant for use for where the fuel pump meets the tank?

yes it is suggested in the manual that you replace the "fuel pump packing" after every removal.... but it you have a leake and recently removed the fuel pump and have a leak .. remove and check for the stainless packing strands aren't caught in the gasket..
had the same issue that's all it was i have removed and installed my pump 4 times with the same packing... and you have to do cross over tightening ... for even and uniform seating of the pump

unless that big rubber gasket is damaged..it shouldn't leak if u bolted it on correctly. ask the dude at Autozone about the sealant thing.
