Thanks for the note on the location of the sender for the f4i.

I guess one could always bring an aux tank

You can get to it from either side because you are going to need to take the tank off, drain it, flip it upside down, then take the pump assembly out.

What about removing the fuel lines and draining that way? Then one should be able to remove the assembly. Any specialty tool needed? I considered changing the filter, as I bought the bike used and don't know the condition of the filter.

I would just siphon it out through the filler cap, then turn the tank on it's side to pull the pump.
