Default FI 1 Flash Map Sensor Issue

Ok, maybe some may know or have had this issue but I have not found it in any forums in here. I am receiving a FI 1 flash Map sensor code. how this started is after work I filled up my gas and headed home on the interstate, all of a sudden my bike died on me doing 55 mph and I was receiving a 1 flash Map sensor code. I got it home (no thanks to progressive) and tore it apart to figure out why. I looked at the map sensor and traced all wires (all good) checked all fuses (again all good) looked if it was injecting fuel and that's good, spark plugs are new and even rechecked them and they are good and get good spark. I spray starter fluid into the heads it cranks until it burns that off and dies again. Fuel pump primes (may be bad gas, will check that today because it did this after filling up). Thinking it may be the stator but when I checked voltage on the main things everything checked out to spec. So if anyone has anything or can point me into the right direction it would be helpful. Summer is almost up and I still want to get her up and going and enjoy her a little longer.

Might be a bit far fetched here but perhaps try replacing the map sensor. Looking at it and tracing the wires doesn't mean its working correctly.

Did you follow the vacuum line or just the wires?

I assume you followed the steps to get the code using the diagnostic plug....

Yes, I did replace the Map Sensor with a new one, and yes checked all air hoses as well as the wires. I did follow the steps and even reset the FI code to see if there were any other codes but it only pops up with just that one code. I even today purchased new rubber hoses for the air and nothing....

The vacuum hose splits and goes to each throttle body. Make sure they are all connected.

Get a vacuum gauge and make sure it's in spec and use a voltmeter to check your pins voltages as per manual spec. You have ruled out the sensor already.

I will have to get a vacuum gauge and do that today. I have checked volts to the manual spec. on all main items like batt. stator, starter etc... but didn't check the pins...

Between me and 2 friend all with over 50,000 miles on our F4i's the only major problems that both of them had [not me yet thankfully] is the main wiring harness connectors are not weatherproof and corroded. Caused weird stuff with both bikes until they figured it out. Worth checking.

well, I may have to look for corroded wires or ends in the areas that it connects. I have to say this sucks not having a bike to ride. it as been only 2 weeks and I'm itching to ride...
