Any input guys? I think it has to do with the PC3. My bike pre-PC3 would cold start normal (as in start at 2000+ rpm then creep down to 1500-1400 when warmed)

NOW...it will NEVER do that...it will do one of two things...

1. Start to a weak 1000-1200 and after 7 seconds bump to 1500 and the FI light will come and stay on. This ONLY HAPPENS on COLD START NEVER ON WARMED START

2. Start to a 1400-1500 and stay there regardless of temp..NO FI light?

I've reset the battery...unplugged the MAP sensor harness and cleaned as well as checked the vacuum hose to the unit

I havent checked the wax unit and dont want nor see the need to....It seems computer/PC3 related

My bike does not auto choke, never has while in my possession.

When i got it it just had a K&N and a slip on, its now got a lot of cosmetic mods but more importantly a power commander.

Next time i have it torn down im going to pull out the wax unit and check it for function, obviously something is wrong with it.

I find it hard to believe that the three of us all have a PCIII and all of are wax units went out. I'm pretty sure my fast idle was working fine before I installed my PCIII. If I get some time I'm going to unplug the PCIII and put the O2 sensor back into the mid pipe and see if that fixes my fast idle. I have a new wax unit on hand but I'm going to try that before I tear into it.

my bike seems to be running just fine even if it doesn't fast idle on cold start. i figure if it ain't really broke, don't fix it. i ride off within a few seconds of starting up and never had a problem.

Ya Wish200O - It was my theory from the beginning that the PC3 is the culprit....I mean the bike runs flawless besides the out of norm cold start idle and random FI light...these PC3's sure do some weird, inconsistent things at times.

I'm just going to tell people I have loopy cams
