Default electrical problems

i'll start off by saying my bike is a 01' f4i and my rpm gauge hasn't worked since i bought the bike and neither has the turn signals. now i noticed that when i strip the bike down that there was a plugin in the front that if i unplugged would make my turn signal flashers work but my bike wouldn't start because my fuel pump wasn't kicking on. does anyone know where the other plug is or why its not working?

Hello, and welcome to the forum! About this "other plug" i'm sorry to say but it can confuse people especially me. But i will try to help. If you provide precise locations / colors of plugs, number of wires going into the plugs, there is a much better chance that I or someone else here can chime in and help you out.

About your tach not working, question, when you turn the key on before starting the engine does the tachometer sweep from zero to maximum and back to zero?

About the turn signals, do you mean the indicators on the cluster aren't working, have you checked to see that both the front and rear bulbs are good on both sides?

the plug in looks like its running off the main harness to the rectifier and the tach don't move at all. the indicators are the ones that don't flash
