RE: electrical problems
You have another set of sub fuses just under the right faring, did you check those? If all your fuses are in good order, then you're going to have to poke and prod around. Do you have a volt meter? If not, I recomend investing into one becauseit is the only the only tool that will help you figure this out. You can geta digital oneat Radio Shack for like $20 which will perform many functions.
I was looking over a wire diagram and if you have no blown sub fuses, check to see if there is any power there with the fuses out (one side should light up). You should have power there since your headlight is working. I would also look into your engine stop switch. There is a Black/White wire and it should have power there. It's also part of the same Black/White wire that leads to the Fuel Relay, check to see if there is voltage there. By the way, do you have a wire diagram? Check these couple things out and get back with what you find.

RE: electrical problems
Sounds like it is two things, your gauge cluster or you Ignition Control Module (ICM). I'm suspecting the gaugel cluster more than the ICM because the engine runs when by passing the fuel pump and it's easier to check. Check the connections in the back of your gauge cluster for power. I would also check the continuity of your ground (Green Wire & Green/Black Wire). You could have a bad ground that is causing all this. There is a ground connection that is located right next to the Regulator/Rectifier (R/R), make sure it's good. When doing the continuity test, contact one probe with the Green Wire & Green/Black Wire while touching the other probeto theground connection on the frame that is right behind the R/R. You should get a chime out of this, if not, you have a bad ground. Do you have a multimeter?
