Default Help plz, electrical problems!

ok, a couple things.... my speedo reads diff all the time, even when sitting still it might say 7 5 sometimes or sit at 35 other times etc. does similar things while riding. also my tach light comes on and goes off all the time, especially when i rev the gas at all it will go off, and only about half of the speedo lights up the same way on off on off, but the left half always works. i have no idea whats goin on with any of it, any help would be much appreciated. btw its a 96 f3. thanks

It sounds like your R/R (Regulator Rectifier) is going bad. Mine went out on me and it was doing some of the same things.

the moment before my regulator died (i have an f2) the tach was all over the place. Hurry up and fix that before you get stranded somewhere.

my speedo doesn't work at all due to having the f2 motor....but when my r/r went out, about 2 minutes prior the tach was all over the place as well....You may want to check that out man. Search around this site, there are some good tests you can do to your stator and r/r
